Sharon Benjamin

Completion of the new album from Riverina based talent Sharon Benjamin has been a somewhat long and arduous road.

Over half of the 13 songs penned by Sharon were to have been released early last year, but due to creative differences were never completed.

Sharon and husband/bass player Mark Hillier finally decided to create their own ‘Redbak Recording Studio’ with the primary objective of capturing the true essence of the artist.

The two set about co-producing an impressive album with a crystal sound “as clear as glass”. Redbak also draws on the expertise of Marcus Hooper for mix down and Edensound’s Martin Pullan for Mastering.

Sharon is an artist that is almost impossible to pigeonhole. As a performer, she is known for her versatility both vocally and stylistically. As for her songwriting, Sharon draws the listener in with her honest lyrics wrapped in a melodic blanket, and although she is definitely a country artist, she draws from many influences.

Perfect Little World is the first time we have heard the true artist that is Sharon Benjamin.

Redbak has also recorded an album for Country Music Legend Reg Poole and both are available through One Stop Entertainment.
